Villa Vesta

Only 400m from Kalamata’s central square, in one of the city’s old residential districts, this mixed used project explores the balance between restoration and renovation. Originally built in the mid 1950’s, this home had remained derelict for many years.

The goal was to explore a conversation of restoring the traditional architecture of the original building while remaining authentic to our time and incorporating details and comforts of the 21st century. Given its use would evolve from residential building to a mixed-use project including the design space of A&K Architects, the goal was to reinvigorate a forgotten period in Kalamata’s residential architecture while adding our own signature.
