Located north of the village of Rigglia, this private residence explores the balance of scenery and function. With breathtaking panoramic views, establishing a footprint which accommodates the needs of its inhabitants while framing the varying viewpoints, rather than obstructing, them was paramount. As one traverses through the residence varying scenery is presented as a backdrop to the purpose of each space, allowing for one’s full appreciation of the breathtaking view this plot provides.
The use of vernacular materials, including stone sourced on site, allows for the residence to blend with its context whilst also bringing the landscaped into the interior enhancing the sense of place.
